The word "trinity" itself is never mentioned in the Bible. But, the three Persons of the Trinity are not only mentioned by name, their eternal relationship to each other in the Godhead is specifically mentioned. There is God the Father, God the Son (Who is begotten of the Father), and God the Holy Spirit (Who proceeds from the Father). The Bible never, ever says that Christ proceeds from the Father, or that the Spirit is begotten of the Father, or that the Father is begotten of the Son. This shows that each Person of the Trinity is distinct from the other, yet they are all the same One God Who is manifest in three Persons.
There is only One God
